This carpet is a soft sculpture for the floor, and it is built by over 800 handmade pompons. An animal-like but animal-friendly art object. The pompons with leopard pattern are knotted to a wool felt base in a snow leopard shape. The dense but soft surface reaches a height of up to 12 cm. The head of the leopard is formed by a mold sewn from felt and inside with a filling cushion. This soft sculpture achieves a total weight of approx. 39kg. This floor cushion is made from over 130 handmade wool pompons. They are knotted precisely one to another to achieve a dense surface and this special pattern. The colorful splashes seem to be squirted accidentally over the surface and crocheted edge of this cushion. However, these splashes are exactly planed: for each pompon following up in the work a pre-defined sketch must be made and then wrapped into every woolen ball. The splattered color on the crocheted side of the cushion is done by a hand embroidery. Filling cushion is a special wadding and wool and has a base of wool felt. After refurbishing these 100-year-old chairs, each became an upholstery with about 50 blossom pompons out of merino wool. The base of the upholstering ribbon was done the other way around so that the woolen balls came from inside the bottom to the top. The pompons are knotted densely to the felt base with crocheted cover. The floral design also spreads to the crocheted edge of the chair by hand embroidery. This armchair is a refurbished old wooden chair. It has an upholstery with over 250 handmade wool pompons from multicolor. Myra von Busekist and her team sometimes work on the edge of legality: "We often have to overcome the barriers of the construction sites at considerable (criminal) expense in order to place an object correctly. Then the wind direction has to be good, and my partner (the Amazonian Indian Equi) shoots his blowpipe arrows - don't worry: they are blunt and not poisoned - at the right moment. Not always do the unbalanced painters spill a whole bucket of paint, sometimes they drop something else or the pompon object is not hit. That means then, everything again from the very beginning..."
